(Temporary 7.5t Weight Limit) Order 2022

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce the following temporary 7.5t Weight Limit as detailed in the Schedule below.

This Order will come into operation on the 13th day of May 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months.

The Works are expected to commence on the 17th day of April 2022 until the 30th day of September 2023 and the restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Temporary 7.5t Weight Limit

B3191 Cleeve Hill, Watchet – From a point 290 metres west of its junction with Lorna Doone for a distance of 120 metres in a south westerly direction.

Statement of reasons for making the Order

a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road

b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
