in the Parish of Cutcombe

(Temporary 40mph Speed Limit) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that on the 22nd day of April 2022 Somerset County Council made the above Order in exercise of the provisions of Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as previously advertised on the 15th day of April 2022, to introduce a temporary 40mph Speed Limit as specified in the Schedule below.

This Order will come into operation on the 29th of April 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months.

The Works are expected to commence on the 6th day of May 2022 for 1 day between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours, this is to enable Sunbelt Rentals to carry out works for pole tests. The restriction will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.

B3224 Exford to Wheddon Cross Road, Minehead – From a point 15 metres west of the junction with Long Lane in a

North easterly direction for a distance of 450 metres.

Statement of reasons for making the Order

a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road, or

b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
