Temporary Closure of Bridgetown to Exbridge Road and Wheddon Cross to Bridgetown Road
Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Bridgetown to Exbridge Road - from the junction with Week Lane to the junction with Stagshead Lane; and Wheddon Cross to Bridgetown Road - from the junction with Exton Lane to the Junction with Week Lane. A total distance of 3016 metres.
This Order will enable Milestone Infrastructure to carry out prep and surface dressing works.
The Order becomes effective on 13th May 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 16th May 2022 and last until 20th May 2022 between the hours of 07:30 - 17:30 for a total of 5 days.

Statement of Reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or
b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
