FOOTPATH NO. 25, NEWTON ABBOT
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2022
WHEREAS the Devon County Council (“the Council”) being the Highway Authority for public rights of way is satisfied that for reasons of safety and work to be carried out therein, through traffic in the said length of public rights of way should be restricted.
NOW THEREFORE the Council in exercise of
their powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and to all other powers them enabling in that behalf, hereby make the following order.
1. In this order “traffic sign” means a notice giving the reason for the closure, the effect of the order and the date on which the order has come into force and its maximum duration.
2. No persons shall proceed on the section of the following public right of way except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to that length of way:
Footpath No. 25, Newton Abbot from College Road to South Road
3. The restrictions imposed by this order shall remain in force on such days and during such times as the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
4. The order shall come into operation on Monday, 27 June 2022 and will remain in force for a period not exceeding 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
5. The order may be cited as the “Devon County Council Footpath no 25, Newton Abbot Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022” Authorisation
