Temporary Closure of West End
Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along West End - from the junction with Redway to the junction with High Bank. A total distance of 57 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out interim to permanent reinstatement works in carriageway.
The Order becomes effective on 12th August 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 16th August 2022 and last until 17th August 2022 between the hours of 07:00 - 15:30 for a total of 2 days.
There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements. b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
