Temporary Closure of Old A39 Ellicombe

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Old A39 Ellicombe - from the junction with A39 Minehead to Williton Road, southwards for 50 metres. This Order will enable Somerset Highways to use this area as a site compound during the works of the Walkway and Cycling Improvement Scheme.

The Order becomes effective on 19th August 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 22nd August 2022 and last until 25th February 2023 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 187 days.
